Feature articles should generally be no shorter than 700 words, and no longer than 2500. If your topic needs more space than that, contact the editor with your article idea and suggested length in advance.

ASPects generally requires a 30-day exclusive, first serial world rights, with all rights reverting to the author 30 days from the first day of the month shown as the issue date. Previously-published materials will be considered if the original form of publication was somewhere unlikely to have been seen by our readers. Press releases may be submitted for our Industry News column, if they concern actual industry news, and not just products or services.

Follow the rules of grammar and spelling used in American English, but keep in mind that our audience is global, so explain references to anything that won't make sense elsewhere. The standard reference for punctuation and grammar is The Elements of Style, 3rd Edition, by William Strunk Jr and E. B. White.

Local style: Preferred spellings for some technobabble words: E-mail, web site. Omit the 'http://' in web addresses if they begin with 'www'. Spell out numbers up to ten.

As with all publications, read back issues so that you understand the style and know which topics have been covered recently.
